Taiwan trip post-report...

Well, the taiwan trip was great, excellent company (thanks Ray n Xk...) and food was to die-for... It's definitely a place I want to return to... hee...

Five things I love most about Taiwan:
1) Night markets: Definitely a place for night owls like it... bursting with life even after midnight..a place for me to eat and eat and eat and eat...
2) People... wow... the people were friendly and approachable, definitely a tourist-friendly place... (minus the grumpy old men we met..)
3) Hotsprings.. wow, my first time.. and many more to come..
4) 冰糖葫芦 (strawberry/ tomato..)：been craving for it since my last trip to taiwan... omg... hee.. ate one everyday... (let's ignore the calories..)
5) 葱油饼、葱油饼 and of course, more 葱油饼... (ate soooo much till I puked.. for the first two nights.. LOL.. but it was worth it...)

Five things I dislike most about Taiwan:
1) Cold toilet bowl seats!!!!!! Horrible!!!!
2) Taking baths... I resent this part of the day...Freezing each time I got out of the shower.. *argh...*
3) The temptation of Food. LOL, i love them, yet resent them. I ate so much and died from 'overdose' of unhealthy food. Spent most of the time eating, eating and eating...
4) The traffic. Thank god for the orderly traffic in Singapore!! Can't put to count the numerous times that any of us nearly got knocked down by a vehicle! Well, strangely, cars and motorbikes still continued to drive despite the green crossing man...
5) Grumpy old men... The four of us seemed to have an affinity for middle-aged grumpy men.. LOL, seemed to be going through menopause.. (well, this was compensated by many other taiwaneses we met that are extremely friendly..)

Hee, I was really glad to return home, kinda missed the weather after having enduring rainy nights and strong wind!!! LOL... surprisingly. I missed the sun and the heat!!! Overall, the trip was a good experience... thanks guys for being so easy-going and accomodating.. hope u guys enjoyed as much as I did.. (or even more!) sorry that you guys (not u zim...)didn't get much chances to 把美媚! Better luck next time...

Taiwan trip...

Finally got my hands on the Taiwan trip pics! Selectively chose some of them and posted them up!!!

Well, therotically, our hotel was supposed to be within walking distance from the Legendary .西门町 (as shown above..) but... in reality, our hotel was 15mins away!!!! The everyday looooong walk that turned out to be our exercising routine to keep our calories burnt! Kinda enjoyed the 'stroll' towards the end of the trip...(thank god for tt though...)

Our Favorite pastime.. Our everlasting love for the sport... (BTW, I won a couple of games... LOL, me, A girl defeated three guys...Shhhh...*Ego boast*)

Spent our 4th night at Raohe night market.. Hee, another night of eating and eating and eating... *Growing fatter by the hour..* 

Lucky us.. managed to catch filming at the night market... hee.. watch out for us on TV!!! 

Found a bit of our childhood by Fishing!! Interesting experience.. Zim caught the most! (6 fish...) Sadly, both me and Ray onlie caught 2...blame it on the 'net'!

Spent our last day at 中正纪念堂! Great weather.. (finally, a Rainless day!)

Movie disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caught Chronicles of Narnia today... the film was a little longer than I would like.. (Especially when my extremely small bladder's screaming to release..) and the fighting scene wasn't as spectacular as I would love it to be... Other than that, for someone who hasn't read the book, I found the film... OK-Ok... Rather entertaining and funny... Zim seemed to love it though... (good for u baby...)

However, it wasn't a fantastic movie experience... What irritated me today was people's behavior in the cinema...

Firstly, (and the MAIN cause of my dissatisfaction) kids were chatting loudly, asking stupid questions along the way, bursting into crying spells, kicking the chair behind me, hitting the popcorn box, heading to the toilet throughout the film... Making soooo much noise and causing much disturbances and thus affecting my concentration… I am extremely unhappy about it, since I spent $9.50 on tickets and was definitely expecting a peaceful environment for me to appreciate the film… and that was not what I got…
Lucky KIDS… if I had bought popcorn today… I would have threw them at u!!!!!!

Secondly, idiots who can't read their watches… Even after 10minutes past the starting time, numerous people were still flopping into the cinema who were both distracting and unfortunately, NOT transparent!!! (Blocking my view…) They obviously do not understand the concept of punctuality… For goodness sake, does it kill to be on time? Does it kill to be considerate?

Next, people who don't understand what the message “Pls turn off your mobile phones and pagers” is trying to convey… Despite reminders through the chicken little ad, people still don't get it… Phone rings and msg tones were heard throughout the show… (Normally, I would not pick on it.. but on days when everything else goes wrong.. DAMMIT U PPLE!!!)

Here are some regulations that cinemas should consider...
1) Kids (under a certain age...) SHOULD be banned from movies.. esp those who don't know what "Keep quiet" means, or those who have yet to learn the art of whispering!
2) Cinemas should implement the act of disallowing people who are late to enter the cinema..( Just like airlines do recently…) This should teach people a lesson not to be late…

Alternatively, cinemas should include a “KIDS” cinema… A cinema that caters specially to kids and their parents should be dumped into that cinema… The cinema should include:
- Built-in toilets that are kids-friendly and thus allowing kids to patronize the washroom conveniently…
- Small, slightly lit ambience so that little kids on their virgin movie experience would not be freaked out by the darkness causing them to break into crying spells….

This way, not only will people like me get to enjoy their film peacefully, kids and their parents will also have a more enjoyable time... How ideally unrealistic… unfortunately…

For now, I have decided to watch either to catch shows that are Kids-unfriendly… or shows that are screened past children's bedtime… It's either them or me!!!!

Results...

Finally got to see my stupid grades...

My overall grades are... A+, A-, B+, B... and an idiotic C.. Finally got my first A+ as well as my first C... not exactly very satisfied with my grades, but I guess...since input = output, I should be more than glad with what I got.. hence No complaints.. and better luck next sem...

Yet, I'm still disappointed with my C which I got from my placement.. For once, I felt that my input way surpasses my results.. It's not fair.. I put in so much effort during the 3 months and okay, I admit that I probably should have placed more effort in doing the paper, yet I still don't think I deserve a C... well, this sorta determined that I am not eligible to take advanced placement.. (well, doesn't really matter as I wasn't intending to do so in the first place...) but still, it's a lousy feeling seeing a bloody C in my report sheet...

Cap remains at a low 3.83... (though it crawled up a mere .01...pathetic..)

Judgement day...

Results day is up again.. It's shitty... was expecting to get my results in 1.5hr time when I realized tt I'm still considered a yr 2 and not a yr 3 as I have not obtained sufficient modular credits.. Which means, I needa wait another 22hours before getting my results... OMG, it's a terrible feeling... the anticipation... the waiting.. (someone, Kill me!!)

I had 2 (not one, but two!!) awful nightmares last night.. dreamt tt I got my results twice... All Cs and Es.. *breaks out in cold sweat*...They felt soooo real.. I could still feel the utter disappointment even after waking up... Can't believe it, I'm already 21+ and I'm still experiencing such ridiculous nightmares... guess history is going to repeat itself... and I'm going to dream a dream of RESULTS + GRADES tonight... *Sobs..*

Well, but, if dreams are exact opposite of reality, then I pray to dream a dream of BAD awful grades...

My patience is running thin...

I tried to communicate with her... I tried answering her questions calmly, despite her repititive and often ridiculous questions... but things always end up the wrong way.. no matter how hard I try, I would end up irritated and agitated.. (and that really doesn't make things better... considering that her temper is even worst..) I know I have a quick temper... but I'm really trying hard to control...

Yet despite trying... I still end up losing it (who won't if someone keeps asking you the same questions e.g. what time you coming back, where you going... why u never do this, do that...) It's frustrating especially when things are beyond my control and asking me why won't help at all......

It always end up being my fault, juz because she is my mother... BUT it's unfair!

I really want to improve our relationship, but at the rate this is going.. it's going to take a lot more effort...

and I'm tired...

KTV session....

KTV session today... hee.. had fun as usual.. plus, we gave our beloved Ray 魔鬼般的训练 as to what duets to choose to impress girls.. (preparing him for his 'BIG' day..) Poor Ray was forced to sing 5 duests in the row as if it was his mini-concert... LOL... well, at least I got to sing 明明很爱你...
